# AdministradorFF

AdministradorFF is the graphical interface used to create, consult, modify and delete the product configuration profiles. There are two options to run it:

* If the UNIX machine has a graphical environment, you should edit the file **connection.properties** in AdministradorFF/conf and modify the property **connection.usessh** of **true** a **false.**
* If the UNIX machine does not have a graphical environment, AdministradorFF can be run from a machine that does have one, for example, from a Windows system, by carrying out the following steps:
  1. Check that SSH connection is possible between the machine with graphical environment and the UNIX machine.
  2. Copy all the contents of the directory **AdministradorFF** of the installation package to a directory on the machine with graphical environment.
  3. Configure the file **connection.properties** in *AdministradorFF/conf* on the machine with graphical environment with the following values:
     * **connection.usessh** = t*rue*
     * **connection.url** = the UNIX machine's network address
     * **connection.port =** SSH port (default is 22)
     * **connection.user =** user of the UNIX machine that will access to configure Editran/FF. The password will be prompted on screen at the time of access.
     * **connection.path =** full path where the AdministradorFF directory is located on the UNIX machine (in the example in this manual, in *opt/editranff/AdministradorFF)*

To run adminff and open the graphical interface, the corresponding script for the operating system being used should be used, *adminff.bat* for Windows or *adminff.sh* for Unix. **Although AdministradorFF is run from a remote machine, all paths indicated during configuration must always be relative to the UNIX machine where the product will be used.**

The interface has a toolbar on the left side that allows you to select all configurable elements in the product and which will be discussed in detail in the following sections of this manual. The corresponding view to the selected item will be shown in the main panel.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/publico-editranff-lite-v7-open-en/linux/administradorff.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
