# Changes in Onesait Editran 5.3 with respect to Onesait Editran 5.2

#### 1.1.1          Incompatibility with Onesait Editran < 5.0

Compatibility with version < 5.0 has been removed. There is a migration program whose operation is detailed in the document Manual-de-Migracion-Iseries\_v5.3.

#### 1.1.2         Incompatibility with cryptographic version 2.2

All references to cryptographic version 2.2 have been removed. Only AES is allowed as the confidentiality algorithm (with any key length) in cryptographic version 4.0 and TDES (triple key length: 24 bytes) in both cryptographic versions 3.0 and 4.0. There is a migration program whose operation is detailed in the file Manual-de-Migracion-Iseries\_v5.3. The SESSION PRESENTATION NUMBER parameter disappears

Everything related to SESSION PRESENTATION NUMBER disappears from the user interface, as well as from the protocol. The outgoing SCP message will be marked with session number = 0001. No validation will be performed on the session number in the incoming SCP message.

#### 1.1.3 The CHARACTER SET (A/E) parameter disappears

The CHARACTER SET (A/E) parameter disappears from the remote screen and from all remote programs

#### 1.1.4 The CONFIRM DOWNLOAD (E,R,X,N) parameter is changed to REQUEST DOWNLOAD ACKNOWLEDGMENT (S/N)

The CONFIRM DOWNLOAD (E,R,X,N) parameter is changed to REQUEST DOWNLOAD ACKNOWLEDGMENT (S/N), as well as its operation. There is a migration program whose operation is detailed in the file [Manual-de-Migracion-ISeries\_v5.3](file://indranas/editran$/DESARROLLO/Manuales/En%20Edición/Editran%20Core/iSeries/Manual-de-Migracion-IMS-CICS_v5.3.docx)

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-iseries-en/nueva-funcionalidades/changes-in-onesait-editran-5.3-with-respect-to-onesait-editran-5.2.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
