A query can be made generically, retrieving all available sessions

We select the one we want to query

Parameters related to file, signature, and certificate management are defined.

The General Parameters show the default values that will be used in this application and should be kept exactly as they appear on the screen, except for the received file, whose name will be chosen by the user.

* OCSP/CRL verification (N/O/C/A):

‘N’: Do not verify

‘O’: Verify OCSP

‘C’: Verify CRL

‘A’: Verify both

* Template for signing:

The templates used as a model to create XAdES signatures. The templates store the optional parameters used by Editran/XAdES to perform the signature in a specific format.

* Signature verification policy:

The signature policy in case you want to make an XAdES-EPES type signature. The policy is the addition of an XAdES-EPES signature to an XAdES-BES signature and includes conditions of the format in order to comply with the policy.

The parameters for adapting the received file.

* Adapted file name. It is the final result of both the XML extraction process and the adaptation to the AS400 standard format, although it must be given to the Java application in the format indicated in the example.
* Delete if it exists: Whether the file is deleted or not.
* Adapt File:

-If it is a fixed file, it is mandatory to adapt it and format F.

In this application it must be adapted obligatorily since the Java application leaves it in ASCII and with record delimiters:

-If the file is binary, it is mandatory not to adapt the file and format B.

* File format: It is understood that the file must be fixed if we want it in the native AS400 file manager and binary if it is in IFS.
* Record Length. File record length.
* Translate on receipt: Translate the received data.
* Receipt conversion table: If a conversion table is used, enter the table name.
* Delete record terminators. These are the delimiters generated by applications to delimit the records; the possible values are 0D, 0A, or 0D0A.

Note:

If it is the binary format:

If the format is Fixed:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-iseries-en/editran-ff/graphical-interface/user-management/presentation-sessions/general-session-parameters.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
