# Graphical interface

To work with Editran/FF, it is necessary to maintain a profile file with information about:

Local environment: A series of general parameters are identified for working with the product, such as the listening address of the signature service, EditranSignatureServices.

Local and remote users: The signer user names, both internal and those of other entities, will be defined. For local users, the certificates they will sign with will be specified, while for remote users, the identification contained in the certificate with which they sign will be indicated. Local users are associated with Editran's local code and can intervene in any transmission. Remote users are associated with the Editran codes of the other entities and only intervene in transmissions with those entities.

Applications: Editran/G sessions that will use file signing will be created.

Application signing rules. Signing rules associated with the applications will be generated. The rules may include banking and corporate standards.

Users associated with rules. The previously defined local and remote users will be associated with the signing rules. The rules will include users and groups, and conditions can be set on the number of signatures and mandatory groups, including control of amounts by user/file/operation.

Download the EDITRAN/FF software beforehand

(You must access the official Editran page:*<https://www.ecs-aggregation.onesait.com/>* Go to the Software section, click the link on the left called “iSeries” and download Editran File Signing, which contains the Editran/FF library)

We enter the EditranFF library and access the main menu with the EDIXD70 command.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-iseries-en/editran-ff/graphical-interface.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
