# Steps to follow in the installation

## Prerequisites <a href="#toc8991239" id="toc8991239"></a>

For the installation of the Transmission Recovery facility, it is necessary to have the Editran/E monitoring and statistics subsystem operational.

## Obtaining the libraries

Normally, IEBCOPY-format files will be obtained via the system itself, which will be unloaded into the corresponding libraries, verifying that their contents match the list of modules indicated above.

### **IMS Definitions**

The standard “statistics query” transaction ZTBC must be authorized to issue the /START REGION command.

## File initialization

The “macrofile log” file is initialized using JCL ZTBEJRE0.

This file will be included in the macrofile loading procedures with DDNAME ZTBEFLOG and will match the ZTBEFLOG file in the recovery procedure ZTBEPRE.

## Adaptation of procedures and transactions

The recovery process will be executed by sending a message from IMS to transaction ZTBI and starting region ZTBPJIG. The names cannot be modified. The transaction and the process must correspond to the Application Interface (IGA) transaction, which generates Editran batch processes, in its standard naming convention.

There must be a procedure, in the Editran procedures library, named ZTBEPRE for transmission recovery.

To recover the transmissions loaded by the “macrofile” procedure, the loading procedure (ZTBGPMCR in its standard name) will be modified to include the “macrofile log” file. It will be included under DDNAME ZTBEFLOG and will match the one used in procedure ZTBEPRE.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-ims-en/recuperacion-transmisiones-ims/instalacion/pasos-a-seguir-en-la-instalacion.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
