# Migration to v5.3 phase 1

This document describes the migration procedure to Editran v5.3 Phase 1 from versions 5.2 and 5.3.0.

To perform this migration, the JCL ZTBGJM53 must be executed

The following fields will be checked during the migration:

* CRYPTOGRAPHY (Y/N) must be the same in P and G; if they are different, P is changed
* If CRYPTOGRAPHY = S
 * CRYPTOGRAPHIC VERSION = 2.2 is changed to 3.0, 4.0 depending on the license
 * DATA ENCRYPTION ALGORITHM = DES/TD2C; on the G side it is changed to TD3C, on the P side it is removed
* REMOTE VERSION (N.N) less than 5.0 is changed to 5.0
* DOWNLOAD CONFIRMATION different from 'N' is changed to 'N'
* Delete user programs. The user programs from the profiles are deleted.
* If presentation sessions exist and transmission sessions do not exist, the presentation sessions will be deleted

⚠️ It is very important that before carrying out the migration, a license for version 5.3 is requested.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-ims-en/migracion-a-v5.3-fase-0.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
