# Installation of Onesait Editran

## Installation procedure <a href="#toc149824495" id="toc149824495"></a>

* Define the libraries needed for dumping the tape; these may be some existing ones in the installation or, preferably, ones created specifically for the product installation. The required libraries correspond to the labels on the installation tape.
* Dump the tape with the IEBCOPY utility program according to the listing attached to the installation tape.
* Determine the different installation options regarding the number of cores and transmission/reception databases, timeout type, status file type, etc.
* Adapt the source modules of PSBs and databases to the installation naming convention.
* Perform the generation of PSBs, transactions, databases, and terminals in IMS. Generate DBDs and PSBs in DLI. Generate CLUSTERs for the databases, dynamic allocations, and ACBs.
* Define all the resources necessary for the product (zOS, IMS) as reflected in the previous chapters of this manual.
* Carry out the TCP/IP definitions as reflected in the corresponding manual.
* Compile the formats according to the characteristics of the installation.
* Adapt the JCLs, which will contain Indra's procedures and libraries, to those of the entity.
* Copy or move the ZTBPJIG JCL to the IMS region startup library. This is the procedure that sends requests from the transmission module to the presentation module.
* There are 6 procedures (plus the twins if new databases are used) that are called from the presentation module from the transmission module, called ZTBGP\*, these procedures must be moved to a procedure library.
* Likewise, the procedures will allow dynamic allocation of files through the option of *runtime* CBLQDA(ON).
* Run the database initialization JCLs: ZTBPJC\*.
* There is product control by License, so Indra will supply a sequential file with said License. Once received, the JCL ZTBLJG02 will be run.
* Register the local environment profiles in Editran

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-ims-en/instalacion/instalacion-de-onesait-editran.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
