# Session termination

## Session selection card format <a href="#toc9000921" id="toc9000921"></a>

It matches the session selection record. As many cards as sessions to be deactivated may be entered, and specific sessions (those that have the three fields source, destination and application filled in) may be mixed with generic sessions (those that have one or two fields filled in and the rest set to zeros.

## Description of the selection fields <a href="#toc9000922" id="toc9000922"></a>

The selection fields are as follows, which match those on the selection card:

<table data-header-hidden><thead><tr><th width="150" valign="top"></th><th width="70" align="center" valign="top"></th><th width="70" align="center" valign="top"></th><th valign="top"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td valign="top">Name</td><td align="center" valign="top">Length</td><td align="center" valign="top">Fmt.</td><td valign="top">Description</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Processing</td><td align="center" valign="top">1</td><td align="center" valign="top">An</td><td valign="top">With “*” the record is ignored.</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Type</td><td align="center" valign="top">1</td><td align="center" valign="top">An</td><td valign="top">S: Session selection card</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Separator</td><td align="center" valign="top">1</td><td align="center" valign="top">An</td><td valign="top">Field separator hyphen.</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Origin</td><td align="center" valign="top">9</td><td align="center" valign="top">An</td><td valign="top"><p>Origin code of the sessions to be selected.</p><p>Zeros: Sessions with any origin code.</p></td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Separator</td><td align="center" valign="top">1</td><td align="center" valign="top">An</td><td valign="top">Field separator hyphen.</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Destination</td><td align="center" valign="top">9</td><td align="center" valign="top">An</td><td valign="top"><p>Remote code of the sessions to be selected.</p><p>Zeros: Sessions with any remote code.</p></td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Separator</td><td align="center" valign="top">1</td><td align="center" valign="top">An</td><td valign="top">Field separator hyphen.</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Application</td><td align="center" valign="top">6</td><td align="center" valign="top">An</td><td valign="top"><p>Application code of the sessions to be selected.</p><p>Zeros: Sessions with any application code.</p></td></tr></tbody></table>

It should be noted that if the three source, destination and application fields are entered as zeros, the result will be to delete *all* the sessions from the database.

## Session deactivation JCL

The name of the JCL that performs the deactivation of the sessions is “ZTBGJBP1”.

Below, you can see the JCL required to run the session deactivation:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-ims-en/gestor-batch-de-perfiles/baja-de-sesion.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
