# Changes in Onesait Editran V5.3 Phase 0 compared to Onesait Editran V5.2 Phase 3

## Phase 0

### Issues

No changes have been made

### Features <a href="#toc192691664" id="toc192691664"></a>

* **Incompatibility with Onesait Editran lower than 5.0**

> Compatibility with versions lower than 5.0 has been removed. A migration program is provided for this parameter, whose operation is detailed in the document [Migration to v5.3 phase 0](https://gitlab.devops.onesait.com/onesait/disruptors/ecosystems-editran/editran-documentation/-/blob/develop/IBM/5.3/zOS/sobre-editran-5.3-informacion-de-versionados/broken-reference/README.md).

* **Incompatibility with cryptographic version 2.2**

> Compatibility with cryptographic version 2.2 has been removed. That operating mode is eliminated in version 5.3. For that reason, a migration of the profiles is carried out.

* **Improvement in the selection of encryption algorithms**

> Cryptographic version 4.0 allows AES (with any key length) and TDES (triple key length: 24 bytes) as confidentiality algorithms. In cryptographic version 3.0, TDES is allowed as a confidentiality algorithm.

* **The PRESENTATION SESSION NUMBER parameter is removed**

> All presentation sessions will have the same session number.

* **The CHARACTER SET (A/E) parameter is removed**

> From this version onward, Editran does not need to be informed of this parameter.

* **New download acknowledgment protocol**

> The REQUEST DOWNLOAD ACKNOWLEDGMENT (Y/N) parameter is introduced in place of the CONFIRM DOWNLOAD (E,R,X,N) parameter, as well as its operation (see manual [Manual\_de\_Usuario-editran-IMS\_AdministracionOperacion](https://gitlab.devops.onesait.com/onesait/disruptors/ecosystems-editran/editran-documentation/-/blob/develop/IBM/5.3/zOS/sobre-editran-5.3-informacion-de-versionados/broken-reference/README.md)) . ### IMS-specific features

* **Batch Modification**

> In Batch modification, it is allowed to modify the SERVER CLIENT and the REMOTE IP ADDRESS of each transmission session independently.

* **Session Modification and Generic Modification**

> In presentation session modification, the SERVER CLIENT or the REMOTE IP ADDRESS of any of the transmission sessions will not be modified if they have not been modified on the screen (whatever each transmission profile has will be preserved).

* **Emission Request**

> If an emission request is made for a session that has not yet processed the post-emission step, the procedure will end in error and the request will not be sent.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-comun-z-os-en/sobre-editran-5.3-informacion-de-versionados/cambios-onesait-editran-v5.3-fase-0-respecto-a-onesait-editran-v5.2-fase-3.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
