# Changes in Onesait Editran V5.2 compared to Onesait Editran V5.1

## Phase 0 <a href="#toc8734176" id="toc8734176"></a>

### Issues <a href="#toc8734177" id="toc8734177"></a>

Modifications have been made:

* A7I was generated when receiving SDP while not receiving (CICS).
* With compressed or encrypted variable files transmitted by two transmissions, an ABEND or error occurred when reading from the compressed file in the download (CICS).
* Key management. Errors occurred when paging and errors in the query of key versions (CICS).
* Statistics. The ENQ macro that caused locks (CICS).
* With a load error, the CSB status was updated to loaded (CICS).
* Variable or translated files, with compression or encryption, did not correctly indicate the number of records when exceeding 4 GBytes (CICS-IMS)
* The primary and secondary space of dynamic file allocation is expanded to 7 digits

### Features <a href="#toc8734178" id="toc8734178"></a>

* **Incompatibility with Onesait Editran 4.0 (phase 00 CICS-IMS).**

> Compatibility with version 4.0 has been removed.

* **X25 and X28 connections are discontinued (phase 00 CICS-IMS).**

> Due to the disappearance of the X25 network, its use in the product is discontinued.
>
> The X25 and X28 connection types and the NPSI and ISARD connection interfaces are removed
>
> The Editran/TX functionality and the X25 and X28 connection types through the TX gateway are discontinued.

* **LU62 connections are discontinued (phase 00 CICS-IMS).**

> The LU6.2 (APPC) connection type is removed

* **PKI cryptography is discontinued (phase 00 CICS-IMS).**

> The PKI authentication algorithm is removed.

* **Integrity of transmitted files.**

> Editran guarantees file integrity by computing a hash; specifically, the algorithm used is SHA-2 (SHA256).&#x20;

* **Incorporation of AES cryptography algorithm**

> The AES encryption algorithm is incorporated for data encryption. Its development is implemented on an ICSF cryptographic card. Supported keys are 128, 192, and 256 bits. The exchange of encryption keys is based on RSA cryptography of up to 4096 bits and the SHA-2 hash mechanism

* **Extension of RSA key length and support on cryptographic card.**

> The RSA key length is increased to 4096 bits. The development is carried out on an ICSF cryptographic card. AES key masking is incorporated and the DES algorithm is maintained in compatibility mode

* **Removal of the DES authentication algorithm in 5.2**

> The DES algorithm is removed as endpoint authentication for version 5.2 with cryptography mode v 4.0.
>
> DES key exchange is discontinued in Exchange Key Management.

* **Modification of the file list file format ZTBGFCAR**

> The format of the file containing the files to be issued by list is modified. The area is restructured and the length of the file name to be issued is increased to 74. The output file ZTBGFLFE obtained by the ZTBGBLFE program, which lists the issue files contained in Editran/G profiles, is also modified.

* **Modification of the ZTBGCCOM copybook**

> The ZTBGCCOM copybook is modified; if it is being used in any customer-owned user program, request the new one be sent.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-comun-z-os-en/sobre-editran-5.3-informacion-de-versionados/cambios-onesait-editran-v5.2-respecto-a-onesait-editran-v5.1.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
