# Changes in Onesait Editran V5.2 Phase 2 compared to Onesait Editran V5.2 Phase 0

## Phase 2

### Issues <a href="#toc192691668" id="toc192691668"></a>

Modifications have been made:

* Editran is modified to support loading GDG files by file list.
* Changes have been introduced in order to delete from the PKDS file the remote public keys that are no longer among the three versions displayed in the interface.
* Error is changed to warning when generating/decrypting DES/AES keys under RSA, prompted by activation of ACP 'warn when weak wrap' in ICSF.
* GC is modified so that, when associating new keys that are generated or received, it updates a canceled version before an active version.

### Features

* **Editran profile administration is merged.**

> A single interface remains for profile administration with all the parameters needed for Editran sessions.
>
> In IMS, user programs are removed from both the application profile and the session profile.
>
> The parameters continue to be stored as before, so no process is affected.

* **Modification of the labels on the language, translation, compression, and format parameter screens.**

> The ASCII/EBCDIC label in the remote profile is changed to CHARACTER SET
>
> The values of the R/M file format field (record/modified) will be displayed as R/B (record/binary)
>
> The LENGUAJE label is changed to ALPHABET and the possible value B (binary) is shown as N (none) in the original language of the application, session, and file data.
>
> The possible values of the translate-on-output field A/E/N (ASCII/EBCDIC/no) are displayed as S/N (yes/no) in remote, session, and file.
>
> The display of compression value F (file) is changed to S (yes) in remote, session, and file.

* **Evolution to more secure encryption with Triple DES and AES confidentiality in cryptography versions 3.00 and 4.00.**

> The aim is to evolve toward more secure encryption with Triple DES and AES confidentiality. For this, when creating and modifying sessions with cryptographic version 3.00 and 4.00, an algorithm of at least Triple DES will have to be used.
>
> DES and double DES encryption will continue to work in existing sessions that are not modified.

* **In this phase, the File Signing server is updated to version 7.**

> The following appear in this new version:
>
> Application signing rules. Signing rules associated with applications will be generated. The rules may include banking rules and companies.
>
> Users associated with rules. The previously defined local and remote users will be associated with the signing rules. The rules will include users and groups, with conditions that can be set on the number of signatures and mandatory groups, including amount control by user/file/operation.
>
> Version 7.0 requires a new format for the EDITRAN FF profile file. The data from the ZTBFFPE 5.2 file will be migrated to the new one in a migration process. Before generating the new file, the 5.2 profiles will be saved to a backup file. Once the new one is generated, this backup file will be copied to the new one.
>
> * ZTBFJM01 migration JCL for IMS.
> * ZTBFJMPE migration JCL for CICS.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-comun-z-os-en/sobre-editran-5.3-informacion-de-versionados/cambios-onesait-editran-v5.2-fase-2-respecto-a-onesait-editran-v5.2-fase-0.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
