# Onesait Editran procedures launched from JCL

There are a number of JCLs that can be executed in whatever way is desired (SUB, Scheduler, etc.). They will perform the same requests as from the Editran Operator. These JCLs have a single step that executes the corresponding procedure (pre/post issuance/reception), passing the following parameters:

* ORIGIN Mandatory ‘A’. Indicates that the request was made by JCL.
* FUNCTION Required function, indicating the operation to be performed. The possible values are commented within the JCL itself.
* L0 Indicates the alias encoded in the Editran profiles. It is used to generate the temporary files and reception application files generated by Editran.
* L1 These are the first 6 characters of the Local Code (General or Secondary).
* L2 These are the last 3 characters of the Local Code (General or Secondary).
* R1 These are the first 6 characters of the Remote Entity Code.
* R2 These are the last 3 characters of the Remote Entity Code.
* AP The name of the Presentation Application.
* DATA This parameter is only passed to the state-modification procedure (ZTBGJP6) and has the following format:
  * Xnnnmmmm where:
    * X: E (Issuance), R (Reception)
    * nnn: 999 (the state is initialized), 000 (the state is not initialized)
    * mmmm: Presentation Session Number
* LF This is an optional parameter and is used only for pre-issuance (ZTBGP1). It can have values S/N or null.
  * ‘S’ indicates that a list of application files is to be loaded, even if there are other different ones in the profiles (in this case, if there is no list, the procedure fails).
  * ‘N’ or null values indicate that the application files specified in the profiles must be loaded. If there are no files in the profiles, the ZTBGFCAR list is searched.

The following JCLs are listed below:

* ZTBGJAPL JCL that executes any of the Editran operator requests.
* ZTBGJMCR JCL that executes the procedure prior to macrofile issuance.
* ZTBGJP1 JCL that executes the pre-issuance procedure.
* ZTBGJFF1 JCL that executes the pre-issuance procedure with Editran/FF.
* ZTBGJP2 JCL that executes the pre-reception procedure.
* ZTBGJP3 JCL that executes the post-issuance procedure.
* ZTBGJP4 JCL that executes the post-reception procedure.
* ZTBGJP6 JCL that executes the state-modification procedure.
* ZTBGJFF4 JCL that executes the post-reception procedure with Editran/FF.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-comun-z-os-en/interfaz-generica-de-aplicacion/funciones-invocadas-desde-jcl-de-aplicacion/procedimientos-onesait-editran-lanzados-desde-jcl.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
