# License file

The Editran/SEPA program needs a license file called licencia.dat to work, which must be located in the SEPA root folder.

This license file must be requested from Product Support, indicating the hostid and the operating system of the machine, which are obtained in two different ways:

* By running the checkLic.sh file found in the folder *SEPA/scripts* of your operating system. You must run this command file from the folder where it is located, and on screen it should return the result of the license check.

```
License verification error. HostId of machine 9D783907 [LicAPI]-EXPIRED license
read: checkLic.sh 19: FSUM7357 no active co-process
```

* If you try to run the Editran/SEPA program without a license, the program will fail due to an incorrect license, leaving the hostid and the operating system of the machine in the log.

⚠️ The license file from version 3.0 of Editran/SEPA is provided in ASCII but must be transferred to the system in EBCDIC for proper operation.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-comun-z-os-en/editran-sepa/requisitos-e-instalacion/fichero-de-licencia.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
