# Truststore file

In the Editran/XAdES installation, a TrustStore file, trustStore.pfx, is provided in the /rsc/truststore/ folder (in the example /u/edisign/rsc/truststore/trustStore.pfx), with several CA certificates already included. This store is of PKCS12 type but does not contain keys, only public certificates.

A script has been included for handling the TrustStore file, gestor\_truststore.sh, which makes it easier to add and delete the CAs that we consider the product should accept and, in addition, allows us to change the password for this file (default “password”).

Running this script shows the following:

```
Enter the path of the truststore to manage.
Leave it blank to manage the truststore indicated in xades.properties.
Type 'E' to exit.
Option:                                       (Selecting the default truststore)
Choose the operation you want to perform:
1) View the truststore certificates
2) Add a certificate to the truststore
3) Delete a certificate from the truststore
4) Change the truststore password
To exit, press the 'E' key
Option:
```

* Option 1: will show us a numbered list of the CA certificates it contains and will display the available options again.
* Option: 2

> ```
> Enter the path to the certificate (.cer, .crt):
> ```
>
> You must enter the full path of the file containing the certificate, and if the CA does not exist, it will be added.

* Option 3 will show us the same list as option 1 and will ask:

> ```
> Enter the number of the certificate to delete: 112
> Certificate deleted successfully.
> ```

* Option: 4

> ```
> Enter the current password:
>
> Enter the new password:
>
> Repeat the new password:
>
> Password changed successfully.
> If the modified truststore is the one defined in xades.properties,
> remember to update the value of "passTrustStore" using the utility
>  "bin\configuración_xades".
> ```

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-comun-z-os-en/editran-ff-instalacion-firma-y-verificacion-v7.1.1/instalacion-de-certificados-en-modo-fichero/fichero-truststore.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
