# A5P message generation (ZTBPJBAT)

The JCL ZTBPJBAT is used to send A5P messages of type 1, 2, 3, 4, 8 or A to the editran/P core, instructing the unconditional launch of the procedures before/after sending/receiving. This functionality is normally not used.

The following parameters will be provided:

* Name of the CPU where the CICS with editran/P to be used is located.
* Name of the CICS with editran/P to be used.
* Interface transaction (ZTBI) specified in the General Local Environment of editran Profiles.
* A5P required.
* Local Code.
* Remote Code.
* Application.
* Request type. One of the following will be chosen:
 * 1 - Pre-send process and send request.
 * 2 - Pre-receive process and receive request.
 * 3 - Post-send process.
 * 4 - Post-receive process.
 * 8 - Pre-send process without send request.
 * A - Pre-receive process without receive request.
* 00N required.

The process carried out is as follows:

* The batch program generates a Modify to the CICS specified in the parameters so that the Interface transaction starts, passing it all the parameters described above:
 * cpu,CICS,FTAI A5P000099990000020980TELECA100N
* This transaction checks the existence of the requested transmission Session and if it exists it will launch the requested procedure as long as it has been specified in the Profiles of that Session.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-cics-en/utilities-and-codes/utilities/a5p-message-generation-ztbpjbat.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
