# Installation

The section specifies the steps to follow for the installation of editran/E. Naturally, it is essential that both editran/P and editran/G are installed.

The process is carried out in a set of steps indicated below:

* Library update
* CICS definitions
* Modification of editran/P profiles
* Incorporation of the Monitoring files into the editran/G procedures
* Installation tests

## Library update <a href="#toc303669314" id="toc303669314"></a>

The libraries to be used are the executables and JCLs that exist for editran.

The subsystem is composed of a set of executable members, definitions of the CICS tables and definitions of resources specified below.

These modules will be received by tape, cartridge or with the product editran Teleload Application.

The executables will be included in the editran executable library and the rest in the JCL library.&#x20;

## CICS definitions <a href="#toc303669315" id="toc303669315"></a>

<table data-header-hidden><thead><tr><th valign="top"></th><th valign="top"></th><th valign="top"></th><th valign="top"></th><th valign="top"></th><th valign="top"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td valign="top">FCTCEDAE</td><td valign="top">PCTCEDAE</td><td valign="top">PPTCEDAE</td><td valign="top"> </td><td valign="top"> </td><td valign="top"> </td></tr></tbody></table>

## File definition

The definition of the ZTBEFMH, ZTBEFMP, ZTBEFMT, ZTBEFAL and ZTBEFPE files will be carried out with the ZTBEJIMH, ZTBEJIMP, ZTBEJIMT, ZTBEJIAL and ZTBEJIPE JCLs respectively.

## Modification of Onesait · Editran profiles

Through the editran administrator transaction, the transactions “ZTBE” and “ZTB3” will be incorporated into the profile of its main environment, in the fields reserved for “C. ESTADIST.” and “G. ESTADIST.” respectively.

## Modification of Onesait · Editran procedures

In the previous and subsequent procedures for sending and receiving, as well as in initialization (p1, p2, p3, p4 and p6), the file cards for ZTBEFMH, ZTBEFMP, ZTBEFMT, ZTBEFAL and ZTBEFPE must be added, and in the incident procedure (p5) the ZTBEFMP file.

This can be done using the supplied macro (ZTXINSES). To execute this macro, type *TSO EX 'library.jcls.EDITRAN (ZTXINST)'* and the following will appear:

```cobol
*******************************************************
* TYPE THE NAME OF THE LIBRARY WHERE IT IS LOCATED *
*         THIS CLIST, THE PANEL AND THE MACRO TO EXECUTE  *
*******************************************************
```

&#x20;Type the name of the editran 5.3 JCL library

```cobol
* TYPE THE NAME OF THE MACRO TO EXECUTE  *
```

&#x20;Type ZTXINSES and the following panel will appear:

## Installation tests

Once the product is installed, the tests will consist of the sending and receiving of data batches through an editran session with INDRA SSI and the subsequent consultation of the statistical data through the ZTBE transactions and the retrieval and listings of the summary file through the ZTBJLFR JCL. Another part of the tests consists of alarm management.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-cics-en/statistics-and-monitoring/installation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
