# Cryptography

Below are all the cryptography resources.

## Cryptography programs DES environments <a href="#toc149127457" id="toc149127457"></a>

⚠️ The ones marked in bold are the ones that must be registered in the transaction monitor.

## JCLs with DES and RSA environments <a href="#toc149127459" id="toc149127459"></a>

## Files in DES and RSA environments <a href="#toc149127460" id="toc149127460"></a>

| Cryptographic Environment | Type | File |
| ------------------------- | ---- | ---- |
| des                       | Icsf | Ckds |
| des                       | Tss  | ks   |
| Rsa (need to have des)    |      |      |

## Cryptography installation steps

1. Relink programs (only in case of DES environment with TSS)
2. In the pre-release and post-release procedures, include:
3. Libraries: add the LE/370 RUN-TIME libraries (SCEERUN) to STEPLIB, and those of the corresponding DES environment, bearing in mind that they must all be APF authorized
4. At transaction monitor startup, add the necessary LE/370 libraries, DES environment, EDI executables, etc.

```cobol
//DFHRPL   DD  DSN=CEE.SCEECICS,DISP=SHR
//                  DD  DSN=CEE.SCEERUN,DISP=SHR
```

5. Register the resources in the transaction monitor (programs and files)
6. Initialize DES file (CKDS or KS) and add master key, etc.
7. Add 2 8-byte labels in the local editran environment, for example, Leditran and Reditran:

<table data-header-hidden><thead><tr><th width="81.40740966796875"></th><th width="142.5555419921875"></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td> </td><td>editran 5.0 - 5.3</td><td>Remarks</td></tr><tr><td>editran</td><td>ZTBPJMIG</td><td>Adds 2 editran local environment labels</td></tr></tbody></table>

Add in the DES environment the labels that were added in the local editran environment

<table data-header-hidden><thead><tr><th width="136.77777099609375"></th><th width="143.1357421875"></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td> </td><td>editran 5.0 - 5.3</td><td>Remarks</td></tr><tr><td>DES ICSF APIs</td><td>ZTBSJICS</td><td>Adds 2 editran local environment labels to CKDS</td></tr><tr><td>DES TSS APIs</td><td>ZTBSJTSS</td><td>Adds 2 editran local environment labels to KS</td></tr></tbody></table>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/ibm-editran-v5.3-cics-en/download-cics-version/operations-to-perform-upon-receiving-the-product/cryptography.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
