# Output channel

If a *channel* is an output channel and has the signing feature enabled:

* The files to be sent through it must be signed beforehand, regardless of whether they are later sent to the other end signed or unsigned.
* The rules by which files are signed are defined through the *file groups* signing purposes associated with the channel.
* The integrity of the files to be signed is verified from the moment they are accepted by Connect until they are sent.
* The integrity of the signature files is verified from the moment they are created until they are sent.
* Files are not configured from the menu **Contacts** and **Channels** but from the menu **File group**.
* In **Integration with applications**, the processes and programs before and after sending act exclusively on the file that is sent (usually only one, either data or signature).

The *file groups* already configured for the *channel*, when there are any, are listed in **Address book -> Contact -> Channel (Edit) → Files**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/connect-v3.1-en/firma/administracionconnectfirma/canal/configuracion_canal_emision_con_firma.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
