# File signing

All tasks related to signing at the user level are performed from the menu **Files** of Connect.

![Files Menu](https://64653979-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FvdpBggYaSLH9X3nOAiMG%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-8bf97b74edd538138479e7342fce02e7cf54e090%2F01_menu_ficheros.png?alt=media)

This menu is only accessible if the license includes the feature *editranff* and it can only be accessed by users with the signer role, the signature controller role, or the administrator and signature controller role.

Allows operations to be performed on the files that have been accepted in the *file groups* that have been configured in the system.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/connect-v2.1-en/firma/firmadeficheros.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
