# Address book

The **Address Book** is one of the main views of Editran Connect. From this section all the **contacts** and **channels** associated, allowing the communication and security parameters with other remote entities to be configured.

It is an essential tool for clearly and efficiently managing relationships between information exchange nodes.

## Overview

When accessing the address book, a list of all created contacts is shown by default, including:

* Contact name.
* General information about it.
* Possibility of carrying out pending transmissions.
* Filters by name, remote code, Editran version, and existence of pending files.

In addition, a selector allows switching between the view of **Contacts** and the view of **Channels**.

***

## Address Book Structure

The management of each **contact** is organized into multiple tabs:

## 1. Channels

Display and control of all send and receive channels associated with the contact, including:

* Channel status.
* Assigned schedules.
* Possibility of unlocking channels locked by mistake.

## 2. Service

Contains:

* IP addresses.
* Remote codes.
* Contact environment.

## 3. Contact people

Allows storing data about the individuals associated with the contact.

## 4. Remote signer *(visible only to FF administrators)*

Here, the authorized remote signers are configured, as well as their electronic certificates.

## 5. RSA Keys

Management of RSA keys associated with the contact, if a license is available. It allows sending, receiving, editing, and deleting own and third-party keys, as long as they are enabled by the contracted license.

***

> ⚠️ Note: Some tabs and actions will be available only if the appropriate permissions are available or if the RSA license is contracted for that contact.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/connect-3.2-en/operacion/libreta_direcciones.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
