# Signing process with any user certificate

If, in the configuration of the signer's participation in the file group, it has been indicated that they can act with any of their certificates (none was selected in particular), a window offers the signer the set of certificates associated with their user profile in Connect according to the following criteria:

* If the operating system from which the request is made is Windows, the selection window shows all the certificates that the signer has associated in their configuration.
* If the operating system is different from Windows, the selection window shows only those of the user's certificates that, according to the configuration, are stored in the cloud.

And it is the signer themselves who chooses at this moment which one they will use to sign.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/connect-3.2-en/firma/firmadeficheros/detallefichero/firmar/firma_cualquier_cert.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
