# Cloud certificates

In Connect, it is possible to use cloud-hosted certificates for signing in one of the following two ways:

1. Through the CSP, a software component provided by the cloud signing service provider, through which communication is established between signing applications—such as Connect—and the provider itself. Once the CSP is installed on the signing workstation and after the certificate holder logs in, the cloud certificates associated with them become available for use. When the certificate holder logs out of the CSP, these certificates are no longer accessible and can no longer be used from any application. This mode is valid for the use of those certificates on the Windows operating system.
2. By configuring Connect with the parameters necessary to integrate with the corresponding cloud service provider. This mode, available under a specific Connect license, is valid for the use of those certificates on any operating system (Windows, Android, iOS, etc.).

   Access to the configuration of the providers whose integration has been implemented in Connect is found in the menu:

   **Local settings** -> **Electronic signature** - **Cloud signing**

   In the section **Cloud signing**, once the corresponding provider has been selected in the combo box, click the icon to its right.

   📌 **Remember** The management of signers and their certificates in cloud signing service providers is outside the scope of this manual, although carrying out these tasks is essential in order to be able to sign with them from Connect.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/connect-3.2-en/firma/administracionconnectfirma/nube.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
