# Emission channel

If a *channel* is an outgoing channel and the signing feature is checked:

* The files to be sent through it must be signed beforehand, regardless of whether they are later sent to the other end signed or unsigned.
* The rules used to sign the files are defined through the *file groups* signing-purpose ones associated with the channel.
* The integrity of the files to be signed is checked from the moment they are accepted by Connect until they are sent.
* The integrity of the signature files is checked from the moment they are created until they are sent.
* The files are not configured from the menu **Contacts** and **Channels** but from the menu **File group**.
* In **Integration with applications**, the pre- and post-sending processes and programs act exclusively on the file that is sent (usually only one data or signature file).

The *file groups* already configured for the *channel*, when there are any, appear listed in **Address Book -> Contact -> Channel (Edit) → Files**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.editran.onesait.com/documentacion-editran/connect-3.2-en/firma/administracionconnectfirma/canal/configuracion_canal_emision_con_firma.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
